Installing on iPad

1. In Safari, open your Ingle address, for example https://ingle.home.example.com.
2. Tap Share › Add to Home Screen, then open Ingle from the new icon. It runs fullscreen like an app.
3. Make it the household display: tick the box during setup, or sign in and go to Admin › Devices › Make this a household display.
4. Set Settings › Display & Brightness › Auto-Lock to Never, so the screensaver stays up instead of the screen going dark. Keep the iPad plugged in.
5. Turn on Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access, then triple-click the side (or home) button inside Ingle to lock the iPad to the board.

Tip

The iPad needs HTTPS to install Ingle as a proper home-screen app that keeps working through Wi-Fi blips. See Install for setting up HTTPS at home.

Phones work the same way: sign in with your email and password and add Ingle to the home screen.

If you added Ingle to the home screen when it was called Domus, the icon keeps the old name until you remove it and add it again.
